"Toot-toot, chugga-chugga, Big Red Car."  Our kids have always been Wiggles fans.  So, of course, we were thrilled to experience Wiggles World at Six Flags Fiesta Texas, and we were not disappointed.  Bright colors, costumed characters, and Wiggles music made us feel like we had stepped into a Wiggles movie, and the five Wiggles-themed rides were perfect for our 3 and 5 year olds.  Families with young children are sure to love Wiggles World at Fiesta Texas.

Our other Fiesta Texas favorites:

  • Watching our sons "drive" their first car.
  • Pretending we were really white water rafting and getting soaked in The Gully Washer.
  • Our middle son's wide-eyed wonder as he met costumed heroes from the Justice League.
  • World-class roller coasters such as Superman: Krypton Coaster thrilled Dad.
  • Simply sharing classic amusement rides (like the ferris wheel and bumper cars) with plenty of popcorn and funnel cakes to go with it.

Tips to help you plan your trip:
  • Crowds, crowds.  Long lines are frustrating for all of us, especially for preschoolers.  Try to avoid the crowds by going in the spring, fall, or mid-week in the summer.  Know that October is Fright Fest, though, and could be upsetting to children.
  • Bring a stroller.
  • Buy tickets on-line for best price, or consider purchasing a packaged deal from the Omni Hotel (see below).
  • Dress comfortably and plan to get wet (even if you are not in the water park).

Where to Stay

Texas Family Travel's favorite hotel near Fiesta Texas is the Omni San Antonio Hotel at the Colonnade.  The Omni goes out of their way to make children feel welcome and put parents at ease.  Touches like welcome backpacks filled with toys, cookies and milk at bedtime, and indoor and outdoor pools make this hotel the ideal choice for families.  The Omni offers Fiesta Texas packages which include room, tickets, and buffet breakfast for extremely reasonable prices.  For a special treat, consider reserving a Kid Sensational Suite where the kids have their own brightly colored room complete with twin beds, kids drawing table, and even child-sized robes.  Our kids had so much fun in their room that they did not even want to leave to go to Fiesta Texas in the morning.  Talk about a special hotel stay!
